Drug intelligence / Profile preview
P146007 is a lytic bacteriophage belonging to the genus *Slopekvirus* that targets carbapenem-resistant *Klebsiella pneumoniae* (CRKP) [01400]. Isolated from hospital sewage by researchers at West China Hospital of Sichuan University, P146007 exhibits a broad host range, infecting multiple ST11 subtypes of *K. pneumoniae* (including KL21, KL25, KL39, KL62, and KL64) [01400]. It targets the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) synthesis pathway of the host bacteria, with resistance to the phage linked to mutations in the *waa* gene cluster [01400]. P146007 has demonstrated synergistic in vitro antibacterial activity when combined with the narrow-host-range phage P066121, significantly extending the bacterial inhibition period against ST11-KL64 CRKP [01400].
