Overview

p14ARF-specific TCR-T cell therapy is an experimental autologous T cell receptor engineered T cell therapy in which a patient’s T cells are genetically modified to express a T cell receptor that recognizes cells aberrantly expressing the tumor suppressor protein p14ARF, a biomarker of malignant transformation and p53 pathway dysregulation. By targeting p14ARF-positive cells, the therapy is intended to selectively eliminate cancer cells while sparing most normal tissues, leveraging the restricted expression of p14ARF in non-malignant cells suggested by preclinical studies. This approach is being investigated as a novel immunotherapy for solid tumors in which p14ARF is re-expressed or dysregulated.
