Overview

P16_37-63 peptide is a synthetic therapeutic cancer vaccine derived from amino acids 37 to 63 of the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p16(INK4a). It is designed as an immunotherapeutic agent targeting HPV-associated cancers that overexpress p16(INK4a), such as cervical, vulvar, vaginal, penile, anal, and head and neck cancers. The vaccine is administered subcutaneously with the adjuvant Montanide ISA-51 VG to stimulate both cellular (CD4+ and CD8+ T cell) and humoral immune responses against tumor cells expressing high levels of p16(INK4a). Clinical studies have shown that vaccination with P16_37-63 induces robust immune responses without causing severe toxicities. The approach aims to provide an adjuvant or combination therapy for patients with HPV-positive malignancies following standard treatments[1][2][3][4][5][10].
