Overview

P2 is a polyclonal anti-amylin antibody generated in rabbits using the N-terminal of amylin peptide as an immunogen. It is being investigated as a passive amylin immunotherapy for Alzheimer's disease (AD). Preclinical studies in APP/PS1 mouse models of AD pathology and HuAmy-APP/PS1 mice indicated that P2 was well-tolerated, did not induce microhemorrhages or other adverse effects, and showed a trend towards enhanced recognition memory and lower blood glucose levels.
