Overview
P20 is a bioactive peptide with the sequence CSSRTMHHC, identified as an anticancer therapeutic. It has demonstrated inhibitory activity against metastatic melanoma. When encapsulated in PLGA nanoparticles (NPs), its antitumor activity is enhanced, and this effect is further improved when the P20-PLGA NPs are functionalized with combined peptide C, leading to a reduction in lung nodules in a syngeneic model of metastatic melanoma. The therapeutic efficiency is believed to be enhanced by improved tumor targeting, in situ release of P20, and a synergistic effect between P20 and combined peptide C.
