Overview

p63 shRNA is a short hairpin RNA (shRNA) designed to silence the expression of the p63 protein, specifically the ΔNp63α isoform, which is often overexpressed in various cancers including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). By utilizing the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway, the shRNA mediates the degradation of p63 mRNA, leading to reduced protein levels. In preclinical studies, knockdown of p63 using shRNA has been shown to inhibit tumor cell proliferation, migration, and invasiveness, suggesting that targeting the p63 pathway may be a viable therapeutic strategy for treating aggressive cancers.
