DGAT1 is involved in lipid metabolism, and inhibiting it can reduce triglyceride levels, glucose, and insulin levels, which are associated with metabolic disorders like diabetes and dyslipidemias. P7435 was initially developed for managing metabolic disorders but its R&D status is currently discontinued.
