Overview

P947 is a small molecule gadolinium-based contrast agent developed for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to target and visualize matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) activity in tissues. It is designed to bind specifically to MMPs, which are upregulated in various pathological conditions, including atherosclerosis and cancers, enabling enhanced imaging of disease-associated tissue remodeling.
