Overview

PA-300 is a lead drug candidate developed by Pathologica LLC. Its preclinical development was significantly supported by approximately $10 million in grant funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and Pathologica LLC. This drug is designed to target HIV reservoirs found within macrophages, with the goal of eliminating or reducing these persistent viral hiding places. Clinical trials for PA-300 were projected to commence in 2013.
