Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PA-41 is an experimental humanized monoclonal antibody directed against Clostridioides difficile toxin B, developed as part of a toxin-directed antitoxin strategy for the prevention and treatment of C. difficile infection. It was generated to bind a novel neutralizing epitope on toxin B with high affinity, with the goal of blocking toxin-mediated cytotoxicity and intestinal inflammation, and has been investigated in combination with the companion antibody PA-50, which targets toxin A, as a dual-antitoxin antibody therapy.
