PA100 (also known as PAN-622) is a humanized monoclonal antibody developed by Panacea Pharmaceuticals that targets Human Aspartyl (Asparaginyl) beta-Hydroxylase (HAAH). HAAH is an enzyme that is highly overexpressed on the surface of various malignant tumor cells, including those of the liver, lung, colon, and pancreas, while remaining virtually undetectable in normal tissues. By binding to HAAH, PA100 is designed to inhibit the enzyme's activity, which is involved in cell motility and invasiveness, thereby potentially suppressing tumor growth and metastasis. The drug was primarily investigated for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma (liver cancer) and other solid tumors in early-phase clinical trials.
