pacanalotamab

Pacanalotamab is a bispecific T-cell engager antibody (BiTE) that targets both B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) on multiple myeloma cells and CD3 on cytotoxic T cells. By binding to these two targets, it redirects T cells to recognize and kill BCMA-expressing myeloma cells. Pacanalotamab has been investigated primarily for the treatment of relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. In clinical studies, it demonstrated significant anti-myeloma activity with an overall response rate of up to 70% at the maximum tolerated dose in phase 1 trials. The most common adverse events included cytokine release syndrome (CRS), mostly grade 1 or 2, and serious infections[8][6][4]. Developed by Amgen, pacanalotamab represents the first BiTE developed specifically for multiple myeloma.
