Overview

This is a three-drug combination therapy consisting of Paclitaxel (a taxane chemotherapy agent), Bevacizumab (a monoclonal antibody targeting VEGF-A), and Zoledronic acid (a nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate). The combination leverages multiple mechanisms to target cancer cells and their microenvironment. Paclitaxel directly attacks rapidly dividing cancer cells by stabilizing microtubules, preventing cell division. Bevacizumab cuts off the tumor's blood supply by inhibiting angiogenesis via VEGF-A blockade. Zoledronic acid affects bone metabolism and may have anti-angiogenic properties, potentially enhancing the effects of the other drugs while providing bone protection in cases of bone metastases.
