Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of paclitaxel, a taxane chemotherapy agent, and taselisib, a selective potent inhibitor of class I PI3K p110α, p110γ, and p110δ isoforms. Taselisib has preferential activity on mutant forms of p110α and targets its ATP-binding pocket, leading to inhibition of downstream signaling events that regulate tumor cell proliferation. This combination was investigated in clinical trials for the treatment of advanced breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer.
