Overview

**DW4421S-T1** is a 20 mg tablet formulation of **padoprazan**, an investigational potassium-competitive acid blocker developed by Daewon Pharmaceutical for gastroesophageal reflux disease. Padoprazan inhibits the gastric H+/K+-ATPase proton pump by competing with potassium at the pump, suppressing the final step of gastric acid secretion. DW4421S is being evaluated as an orally disintegrating tablet formulation; DW4421S-T1 is the 20 mg presentation evaluated in a Phase 1 healthy-volunteer pharmacokinetic study. The supplied type 2 diabetes mellitus indication is not supported for this asset.
