Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pain-o-Joint Spray is a topical fixed-dose combination analgesic spray manufactured by Signature Phytochemical Industries. It is formulated for the rapid, localized relief of musculoskeletal pain, joint pain, sprains, strains, and inflammation associated with conditions such as osteoarthritis. The spray contains four active ingredients: diclofenac diethylamine, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes to reduce prostaglandin synthesis; methyl salicylate, a counterirritant that provides a warming sensation and further inhibits COX enzymes; menthol, a cooling agent that activates TRPM8 channels to distract from pain; and linseed oil, which possesses mild anti-inflammatory properties and acts as a penetration enhancer to facilitate deep absorption of the active ingredients.
