Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Painloss MR is an oral herbal analgesic and anti-inflammatory supplement developed by Amvia Biotech. It is a combination product containing 500 mg of *Boswellia serrata* extract and 10 mg of *Gloriosa superba* extract. *Boswellia serrata* is traditionally known for its anti-inflammatory properties, primarily mediated by boswellic acids that inhibit the 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX) enzyme, thereby reducing the production of pro-inflammatory leukotrienes. *Gloriosa superba* contains colchicine and other alkaloids that provide analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting tubulin polymerization and interfering with inflammatory cell chemotaxis. The 'MR' designation suggests a modified-release formulation, and the product is intended for the management of pain and inflammatory conditions such as arthritis.
