Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Paishi Granules (排石颗粒) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation widely used in China for the treatment of urolithiasis, including kidney stones (nephrolithiasis) and ureteral stones. The preparation is typically composed of a variety of herbal ingredients, most notably *Desmodium styracifolium* (Guang Jin Qian Cao), *Lygodium japonicum* (Hai Jin Sha), and *Plantago asiatica* (Che Qian Zi). Its therapeutic effects are attributed to its ability to induce diuresis, reduce inflammation, and exert antispasmodic effects on the urinary tract, which collectively facilitate the movement and expulsion of stones. It is often employed as a conservative treatment for small stones or as an adjunctive therapy following extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) to assist in the clearance of stone fragments.
