Drug intelligence / Profile preview
This is a combination therapy used for hormone receptor-positive (HR+), HER2-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer. The combination includes palbociclib, a CDK4/6 inhibitor, with aromatase inhibitors (either anastrozole or letrozole). Palbociclib works by preventing cells from transitioning from G1 phase into S phase, while anastrozole and letrozole are aromatase inhibitors that decrease estrogen production in the body. This combination therapy is used to slow tumor growth and prevent cancer from spreading further.
