Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of palbociclib, a CDK4/6 inhibitor, and pembrolizumab, a PD-1 blocking antibody. This combination works by preventing cancer cell division through CDK4/6 inhibition while simultaneously enhancing immune system detection and attack of cancer cells through PD-1 blockade. Clinical trials have shown promising results in hormone receptor-positive (HR+), HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer, particularly when combined with endocrine therapy such as letrozole.
