Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PalinGen KardiaMembrane is a human amniotic membrane allograft specifically designed for use as a biological barrier and scaffold in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures. Developed and manufactured by Amnio Technology, the product is processed using the proprietary HydraTek technology, which is intended to preserve the natural architectural integrity of the amniotic tissue. The membrane is rich in extracellular matrix (ECM) components, including collagen types IV, V, and VII, as well as essential growth factors and cytokines. It functions by providing a protective cover over the heart and surrounding vascular structures, which helps to reduce the formation of post-surgical adhesions, minimize inflammation, and support the body's natural regenerative healing processes. As a tissue-based product, it is typically regulated by the FDA as a Section 361 Human Cells, Tissues, and Cellular and Tissue-Based Product (HCT/P).
