Overview
Paliz is a brand of pharmaceutical products containing pantoprazole, developed and marketed by LIA LIFE SCIENCES. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that irreversibly binds to the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system (the proton pump) in gastric parietal cells, thereby inhibiting the final step of gastric acid secretion. It is used for the treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dyspepsia, and gastritis. The Paliz product line includes oral tablets (Paliz 40mg), combination products with the anti-dopaminergic prokinetic agent domperidone (Paliz-D), and intravenous formulations (Paliz IV). These products are approved and marketed in India.
