Marketed by Lyf Healthcare, it is primarily indicated for the management of chronic and neuropathic pain conditions. The drug functions as a selective agonist of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPAR-α). Activation of PPAR-α leads to the downregulation of pro-inflammatory genes and the stabilization of mast cells, thereby reducing neuroinflammation and pain signaling. Additionally, it may exert indirect effects on the endocannabinoid system by inhibiting the degradation of anandamide, a phenomenon known as the entourage effect.
