Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Palomacare is a non-hormonal vaginal gel developed by Procare Health for the treatment and prevention of inflammatory conditions of the cervico-vaginal mucosa. The formulation utilizes niosome and phytosome technology to enhance the delivery of its active ingredients, which include hyaluronic acid for hydration, beta-glucan for its anti-inflammatory properties, and Centella asiatica for tissue repair and healing. It also incorporates the prebiotic BioEcolia (alpha-glucan oligosaccharide) to maintain a healthy vaginal microbiota and Aloe vera for soothing effects. Palomacare is indicated for conditions such as cervico-vaginitis, vaginal dryness, and the maintenance of perineal health during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. A specific variant, Palomacare Crispatus, includes the probiotic Lactobacillus crispatus to further support vaginal health.
