Overview

Paltusotine is an oral, once-daily, nonpeptide small-molecule agonist of somatostatin receptor type 2 designed to suppress growth hormone and downstream IGF-1 signaling. Developed by Crinetics and approved in the United States as PALSONIFY for adults with acromegaly who had an inadequate response to surgery and/or for whom surgery is not an option, it is positioned as the first once-daily oral alternative to long-acting injectable somatostatin analog therapy. The asset has also been developed in carcinoid syndrome associated with neuroendocrine tumors, and Crinetics has licensed Japanese development and commercialization rights to Sanwa Kagaku Kenkyusho.
