PAN-90806 is a potent and selective small-molecule inhibitor of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2), developed as a topical ophthalmic suspension for the treatment of neovascular eye diseases, particularly wet age-related macular degeneration (wet AMD). By antagonizing VEGFR2, PAN-90806 blocks VEGF-mediated angiogenesis and vascular permeability—key processes in the pathogenesis of wet AMD. The drug is designed for once-daily topical administration as an eye drop, offering a non-invasive alternative to intravitreal anti-VEGF injections.
