Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The pan-alphavirus vaccine is an inactivated whole-virus vaccine candidate being developed by Najit Technologies. It is designed to provide broad-spectrum protection against various members of the alphavirus family, including Chikungunya virus and other related alphaviruses. The vaccine is developed using Najit's proprietary HydroVax platform, which employs a photochemical inactivation process using riboflavin (Vitamin B2) and ultraviolet light. This technology is intended to preserve the natural structure of viral antigens, potentially leading to a more effective and broad immune response than traditional chemical inactivation. The project is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
