Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PAN007 is a preclinical mRNA-based therapeutic candidate being developed by Pantherna Therapeutics for the treatment of Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) and COVID-19 pneumonia. The drug utilizes mRNA to encode Angiopoietin-1 (Ang1), a key ligand for the Tie2 receptor located on vascular endothelial cells. By promoting the activation of the Ang1-Tie2 signaling axis, PAN007 is designed to stabilize the vascular barrier and reduce the pathological capillary leakage and inflammation that characterize severe respiratory distress. This approach aims to restore endothelial function and improve clinical outcomes in patients with acute lung injury.
