Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Pancreatin + trypsin is a digestive enzyme preparation developed by Suzhou Ronnsi Pharma for the treatment of digestive disorders, particularly those associated with pancreatic exocrine insufficiency. Pancreatin is a complex mixture of several digestive enzymes produced by the exocrine cells of the pancreas, including amylase, lipase, and proteases such as trypsin and chymotrypsin. The addition of supplemental trypsin enhances the proteolytic activity of the preparation. This biological product acts as an enzyme replacement therapy, facilitating the breakdown of fats, proteins, and carbohydrates in the small intestine, thereby improving nutrient absorption and relieving symptoms such as steatorrhea and abdominal pain in patients with compromised pancreatic function.
