Pangesic

Pangesic is an oral combination drug developed and marketed by Taqwa Pharmaceuticals, a Pakistan-based company. It contains two active ingredients: acetaminophen (paracetamol) at 450 mg and orphenadrine citrate at 35 mg. Acetaminophen is a widely used analgesic and antipyretic that acts primarily by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. Orphenadrine citrate is a skeletal muscle relaxant with central action, exhibiting anticholinergic and antihistaminic properties, and also functioning as an NMDA receptor antagonist. This combination is specifically indicated for the symptomatic relief of pain associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions, such as muscle spasms and strains.
