Panitumumab + Docetaxel + Cisplatin

A combination therapy consisting of panitumumab (a fully human monoclonal antibody targeting EGFR), docetaxel (a taxane chemotherapy agent), and cisplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent). This regimen has been studied in clinical trials for recurrent/metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (SCCHN) and advanced gastroesophageal cancers. This combination has been studied with and without additional agents such as 5-fluorouracil (creating a modified DCF regimen). Some studies have shown promising efficacy but significant toxicity, particularly in older patients. In some trials, mandatory growth factor support was added to manage toxicity.
