panlongqi

Panlongqi is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) compound prescription used for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and bone injuries. It is most commonly available as the Panlongqi Tablet (Panlongqi Pian), which is manufactured by Shaanxi Panlong Pharmaceutical Group. The formula consists of 29 medicinal herbs, including *Bergenia purpurascens* (from which it derives its name), *Panax notoginseng*, *Carthamus tinctorius*, and *Angelica sinensis*. Its pharmacological actions include anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and microcirculation-improving effects, achieved through the regulation of inflammatory mediators such as TNF-α and IL-1β. It is clinically indicated for relieving joint pain, swelling, and functional limitations in patients with knee osteoarthritis. A Phase 3 clinical trial sponsored by Guang'anmen Hospital has investigated its efficacy and safety in this population.
