Pantoprazole + amoxicillin is a combination of two pharmaceutical agents used together primarily in the management of gastrointestinal conditions associated with *Helicobacter pylori* infection, such as peptic ulcer disease and gastritis. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that suppresses gastric acid secretion by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells. Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death. When used together (often with an additional antibiotic such as clarithromycin), this combination helps eradicate *H. pylori* by reducing stomach acidity (improving antibiotic efficacy) and directly killing bacteria[6][7]. The combination may be prescribed as part of dual or triple therapy regimens for *H. pylori*-associated ulcers.
