Overview

Debrivoid (papain + urea) is a topical enzymatic debriding ointment used to clean skin wounds by removing dead, damaged, and necrotic tissue. It contains papain, a proteolytic enzyme derived from papaya latex that digests non-viable proteins, and urea, a keratolytic and hydrating agent that softens and denatures proteins to enhance enzymatic action. Developed by Centaur Pharmaceuticals, Debrivoid is indicated for the treatment of chronic skin ulcers (including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure sores, and varicose ulcers), severe burns, and postoperative wounds.
