papazol

Papazol is a fixed-dose combination pharmaceutical product consisting of bendazol (also known as dibazole) and papaverine hydrochloride. It is primarily manufactured and marketed in Russia and other CIS countries as a myotropic antispasmodic and vasodilator. Papaverine, an opium alkaloid derivative, acts as a non-selective phosphodiesterase inhibitor, increasing intracellular cAMP and leading to smooth muscle relaxation. Bendazol is a benzimidazole derivative that exerts direct vasodilatory effects on smooth muscles and possesses mild adaptogenic and immunostimulating properties. The combination is indicated for the symptomatic relief of arterial hypertension, spasms of peripheral arteries, and spasms of smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal tract, such as pylorospasm and colitis.
