PAR1 CAR-T cells are a form of CAR-T cell therapy in which a patient's own T cells are genetically engineered to express a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) that recognizes PAR1, also known as Protease-activated receptor 1, a target antigen associated with certain cancers. The modified T cells are expanded in vitro and then infused back into the patient, enabling the immune cells to specifically recognize and kill cancer cells expressing PAR1. This is a cell-based immunotherapy and represents a modality within the class of CAR-T cell therapies designed to harness and direct the patient’s immune system against tumor cells[1][3][5][7].
