Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Coldifed-P is a combination pharmaceutical product developed and manufactured by LIFEPharma. It is indicated for the symptomatic relief of the common cold, cough, and flu-like symptoms. The formulation typically contains paracetamol (an analgesic and antipyretic), pseudoephedrine (a nasal decongestant), and triprolidine (an antihistamine). Paracetamol works by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. Pseudoephedrine acts as a sympathomimetic agent on alpha-adrenergic receptors to reduce nasal congestion. Triprolidine is a first-generation H1-receptor antagonist that reduces allergic symptoms such as sneezing and runny nose.
