Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Paracetamol Uniflash is a novel buccal transmucosal formulation of paracetamol (acetaminophen) developed by Unither Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of acute pain. Utilizing the proprietary Uniflash technology, the drug is delivered as a 125 mg/1.25 mL oromucosal solution designed for rapid absorption through the oral mucosa. This delivery route bypasses hepatic first-pass metabolism, aiming to achieve efficacy and speed of action comparable to intravenous administration. It has been evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials for acute pain following tooth extraction, demonstrating a pharmacokinetic profile that supports its use as a fast-acting analgesic.
