Parathyroid hormone CriticalSorb is an intranasal formulation of parathyroid hormone (PTH 1-34/teriparatide) that utilizes CriticalSorb™ absorption enhancer technology to enable nasal delivery. This formulation was developed as an alternative to injectable parathyroid hormone products, allowing for nasal administration instead of daily injections. The CriticalSorb™ technology (polyethylene glycol (15)-hydroxystearate) enhances drug transport across nasal mucosal membranes through both transcellular and paracellular mechanisms.
