Overview

Parimparib is an investigational small molecule drug described in at least one clinical trial as a poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibitor. It is being studied for its potential antineoplastic activity, particularly in patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that is resistant to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors. The mechanism of action involves inhibition of PARP enzymes, which play a key role in DNA repair; by inhibiting these enzymes, parimparib may enhance the cytotoxicity of DNA-damaging agents and promote cancer cell death.
