Parodontax

Parodontax is a therapeutic toothpaste brand developed by Haleon (formerly GSK Consumer Healthcare) specifically formulated to treat and prevent gingivitis and control dental plaque. The product typically contains sodium fluoride (often at 1400 ppm or 1450 ppm) to promote enamel remineralization and prevent dental caries, alongside a high concentration of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda). The sodium bicarbonate acts as a physical abrasive to disrupt and remove bacterial plaque biofilm, which is the primary cause of gum inflammation and bleeding. In clinical research, Parodontax is frequently utilized as an active comparator to evaluate the efficacy of other gum-health dentifrices in long-term studies measuring plaque indices and gingival health.
