The Partially Demineralized Dentin Block is an autogenous graft material prepared from a patient's own extracted tooth and blood. It involves cleaning, grinding, and partially demineralizing the tooth using a device like the Tooth Transformer to obtain dentin particles. These dentin particles are then mixed with Leukocyte-Platelet Rich Fibrin (L-PRF) membranes and liquid fibrinogen, which, upon activation, forms a sturdy, compact block. This block is designed for alveolar ridge preservation following tooth extraction, aiming to maintain vertical and horizontal ridge dimensions by providing a scaffold for hard tissue regeneration. It is being investigated for its effectiveness in socket preservation compared to xenografts or L-PRF blocks in the esthetic zone.
