Parvoruvax

Parvoruvax is an inactivated combination veterinary vaccine for pigs that contains porcine parvovirus K-22 strain and lysed Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae serotype 2, formulated to induce active immunity in breeding pigs (sows, gilts and boars) against porcine parvovirosis and swine erysipelas.[3][9][11][12] By eliciting virus-neutralizing antibodies to porcine parvovirus and protective antibodies (notably anti-SpaA) to E. rhusiopathiae, the vaccine prevents reproductive failure (stillbirths, mummified fetuses, embryonic death and infertility) associated with parvovirus infection and reduces clinical signs and lesions of erysipelas, providing broad protection across field strains, including highly virulent PPV genotype 2/PPV‑27a cluster isolates.[3][5][9][12] Initially developed under Merial and later acquired and globally marketed by Ceva Santé Animale, Parvoruvax is a leading product for integrated control of reproductive and systemic bacterial disease in commercial swine herds.[4][5][6][9]
