PAT-BA4 is a full-sized IgG deoxymab, a unique class of cell-penetrating antibodies developed by Patrys Limited. Derived from the 3E10 lupus autoantibody, PAT-BA4 is designed to penetrate both the cell membrane and the nucleus. Once inside, it binds to DNA and inhibits the DNA damage repair (DDR) machinery, specifically targeting the DNA repair pathways that cancer cells rely on for survival. Unlike its smaller fragment counterpart, PAT-DX1, PAT-BA4 is a full-length antibody which may offer different pharmacokinetic properties and the potential for antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of various solid tumors, including glioblastoma and triple-negative breast cancer, and has shown the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier.
