Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PAT-DX1-NP is a nanoparticle-conjugated therapeutic platform developed by Patrys Limited. It utilizes PAT-DX1, a humanized, cell-penetrating antibody derived from the lupus autoantibody Deoxymab 3E10, to deliver therapeutic payloads specifically to cancer cells. The PAT-DX1 component targets nuclear DNA at sites of damage and inhibits the DNA damage repair (DDR) process. By conjugating this antibody to nanoparticles, the platform can transport various agents, such as chemotherapeutic agents, directly into the nuclei of malignant cells. PAT-DX1-NP is designed to exploit DNA repair deficiencies in tumors and is capable of crossing the blood-brain barrier, making it a candidate for treating primary brain cancers like glioblastoma as well as metastatic brain tumors.
