Drug intelligence / Profile preview
PAT102 is a long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist being developed by ProAbTech for the treatment of metabolic disorders, including type 2 diabetes and obesity. The drug candidate is engineered using ProAbTech's proprietary Albubody™ platform, which involves the site-specific conjugation of a GLP-1 peptide to an albumin-binding antibody fragment. This technology leverages the long circulatory half-life of serum albumin to significantly extend the therapeutic's residence time in the bloodstream, potentially allowing for once-weekly or less frequent dosing. By activating the GLP-1 receptor, PAT102 aims to enhance glucose-dependent insulin secretion, suppress glucagon release, and slow gastric emptying, thereby improving glycemic control and promoting weight loss.
