PAT301 is a long-acting recombinant version of Granulocyte Colony-Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) being developed by ProAbTech for the treatment of neutropenia, specifically chemotherapy-induced neutropenia (CIN). The drug is engineered using ProAbTech's proprietary SelecAll™ and Albubody™ platforms. SelecAll™ is a site-specific conjugation technology that utilizes non-natural amino acids and click chemistry to attach therapeutic proteins to specific carriers. The Albubody™ platform involves the conjugation of the protein to albumin, which significantly extends the therapeutic half-life by leveraging the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn)-mediated recycling pathway. By acting as an agonist of the G-CSF receptor, PAT301 stimulates the survival, proliferation, and differentiation of neutrophil precursors in the bone marrow, thereby increasing the count of functional white blood cells in patients whose immune systems are compromised by cytotoxic cancer treatments.
