Overview

PAT402 is a long-acting analog of Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 (FGF21) being developed by ProAbTech for the treatment of metabolic diseases, including non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), and type 2 diabetes. The drug is developed using ProAbTech's proprietary Albubody™ platform, which involves site-specific conjugation to albumin to extend the half-life and improve the pharmacokinetic profile of the therapeutic protein. FGF21 is a metabolic hormone that plays a critical role in regulating glucose and lipid metabolism, enhancing insulin sensitivity, and reducing hepatic fat accumulation. By targeting the FGF21 signaling pathway, PAT402 aims to provide a potent therapeutic effect with a reduced dosing frequency compared to native FGF21.
