Overview

Patritumab is a fully human monoclonal antibody that targets the human epidermal growth factor receptor 3 (HER3, also known as ErbB3). By binding to HER3, patritumab inhibits its activation and downstream signaling pathways involved in cell proliferation and survival. HER3 is implicated in the development and progression of various cancers, particularly those with resistance to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitors. Patritumab has been investigated primarily for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), solid tumors, head and neck neoplasms, among others[3]. It serves as the antibody component in the antibody-drug conjugate patritumab deruxtecan.
