Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Patritumab is a fully human monoclonal IgG1 antibody directed against HER3 (human epidermal growth factor receptor-3). It inhibits ligand binding (heregulin alpha and heregulin beta) and receptor activation, and induces HER3 down-regulation. Functionally, patritumab inhibits tumor cell proliferation, survival, and anchorage-independent growth in vitro, and inhibits growth of HER3 expressing xenograft tumor models in vivo.
